Manama: Bahrain’s Interior Ministry has confirmed that the Crown Plaza Hotel in the capital, Manama, was damaged in an attack.

The ministry said the strike caused material damage but resulted in no loss of life.

The incident comes a day after a missile attack targeted the US Navy’s 5th Fleet headquarters in Bahrain, which also caused damage to three buildings in Manama.

The US Embassy in Bahrain has confirmed that the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Manama was struck on 1 March 2026, causing injuries. U.S. citizens are advised that hotels may be targeted in future attacks and to avoid staying in them. In case of an explosion, seek cover immediately—indoors, move to the lowest part of the building away from windows; outdoors, find a hardened structure or lie low and protect your head. Stay clear of debris, monitor official updates, avoid large gatherings, and follow local authorities’ instructions.
