A controversial incident at ISKCON’s Govinda restaurant in London — a well-known vegetarian eatery run by the Hare Krishna movement — has triggered widespread backlash on social media after a British man of African descent brought in and ate non-vegetarian food on the premises.

According to a widely circulated video, the man entered the restaurant, asked if meat was served, and upon being told it was a purely vegetarian space, proceeded to take out a KFC chicken box and eat the food inside. He reportedly offered pieces to nearby patrons and staff.

The act drew sharp criticism online, with many calling it a deliberate affront to Hindu values and practices. Social media users accused the man of either ignorance or intentional provocation, with some labelling it racist or Hinduphobic.

"He achieved nothing by harassing people. Just a nuisance in society," one user wrote.
