Four members of a Kerala family died in a road accident in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, when the car they were travelling in collided with a lorry during a pilgrimage trip.
The deceased have been identified as Abdul Jaleel, a native of Manjeri, Malappuram district; his wife Tasna Thodengal; their son Adil Jaeel; and Jaleel’s mother Maimunath Kakkengal.
Abdul Jaleel’s daughters sustained injuries in the crash. Aisha is undergoing treatment at King Fahad Hospital in Madinah, while Hadiya and Noor are receiving care at the Saudi German Hospital.
Crash at Wadi Farah
The accident occurred at Wadi Farah around 6 pm on Saturday. Abdul Jaleel, who was working in Jeddah, was travelling with his family to Madinah when their vehicle hit a lorry.
The family had earlier reached Makkah to perform Umrah and were en route to Madinah when the fatal accident took place.
