Dubai: The UAE Big Ticket which made several Keralites rich, has confirmed that it will temporarily pause operations with immediate effect in order to comply with the UAE’s gaming regulations. The temporary suspension will be effective from April 1.

Big Ticket said that the April 3 draw would go ahead as scheduled. All the previously won prizes will also be distributed.

The halt has been implemented as a result of an industrywide mandate that is consistent with the regulator’s new role to create a well-regulated gaming environment in the United Arab Emirates.

Big Ticket's temporary halt follows closely after Mahzooz and Emirates Draw announced temporary suspensions of their activities in statements issued at the end of December, as part of their commitment to complying with gaming laws.

No date has been announced on when the raffles will begin operating again.
