Jeddah: Airports in Saudi Arabia have once again urged passengers to contact their respective airlines before leaving to the airport. Authorities said that prior communication with airlines would help travellers avoid inconvenience due to any possible delays or cancellations.

Considering the current situation in the region and the potential impact on air traffic, airport authorities at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh have requested passengers to check flight updates directly with their airlines before proceeding to the airports.

Authorities stressed the importance of ensuring passenger safety and the smooth flow of operations. Travellers have also been encouraged to follow updates and instructions issued through official platforms.

Meanwhile, a cautious resumption of select flights from the United Arab Emirates has offered limited relief to passengers stranded by widespread Middle East airspace closures, even as hundreds of thousands remain caught in travel uncertainty.

Long-haul carriers Emirates and Etihad Airways began operating a small number of repatriation and cargo services on Monday and Tuesday.
