Non-Resident Keralites have until April 12, 2026 to enrol in the NORKA Care Plus scheme, offering upgraded health and accident cover for Pravasi ID holders.

Thiruvananthapuram: NORKA Roots has issued an urgent final call to the global Malayalee diaspora as the enrolment window for the revitalised NORKA Care Plus insurance scheme is set to close on April 12, 2026.
Launched on March 11, 2026, this "Plus" edition offers a significantly expanded safety net compared to the standard NORKA Care plan. The scheme has gained rapid traction among expatriates due to its high-value protection and flexible family options.
Key highlights
- Coverage up to ₹1 Crore: In a major upgrade, NRKs can now opt for Group Medical Cover (GMC) and Personal Accident (GPA) limits ranging from ₹5 lakh to a massive ₹1 crore.
- Protection for parents: For the first time, those choosing plans of ₹10 lakh or higher can include their parents or in-laws (up to 80 years of age) in the policy.
- Lifelong continuity: Uniquely, the health cover remains valid even if the NRK returns to Kerala permanently, ensuring long-term security.
- Immediate benefits: The policy covers pre-existing diseases from the first day, with the standard 30-day waiting period completely waived for all enrollees.
How to register before the cutoff
To be eligible, applicants must hold a valid NORKA Identity Card (Pravasi, Student, or NRK ID). Registration can be completed quickly through the following official channels:
- Web portal: norkacareplus.akshayagroup.net.in
- Mobile app: ‘NORKA Care Plus’ (available on the Apple App Store and Google Play).
- Support: A 24-hour toll-free helpline is active at 1800 202 2502 for any assistance regarding enrolments or claims.
With only a few days remaining until the April 12 deadline, NORKA Roots urges all eligible NRKs to act immediately to secure this premium, government-backed health and accident protection for themselves and their families.
