London: A heated argument among Malayali friends took a fatal turn, resulting in the death of Arvind Sasikumar (37), hailing from Panampally Nagar, Kochi. The police took a 20-year-old Malayali, who was residing with Arvind, into custody. The unfortunate incident occurred in an apartment near the Coleman Road junction in Peckham, South East London.
The flat accommodated a total of four individuals, including Arvind, his Malayali friend, and two others. The disagreement between the two friends escalated during the late hours of Thursday, culminating in a violent stabbing. Their flatmates immediately informed the police.
Emergency medical personnel, accompanied by law enforcement, provided immediate medical attention to Arvind. However, Arvind succumbed to his injuries on the spot. The police have not disclosed the specific cause of the altercation. The remaining two individuals who were present have been taken into police custody for questioning.
Arvind, who arrived in London ten years ago on a student visa, is unmarried.
