A Malayali was injured in Iran’s attack in Qatar, while two Indians remain missing after a drone strike on an oil tanker off Oman.

Doha/Muscat: A Malayali has been injured in an attack carried out by Iran in Qatar. Hisham, a native of Venkitangu in Thrissur, sustained injuries to his leg. He has overcome the critical phase and is reported to be out of danger.
Meanwhile, two Indians, who were on board an oil tanker damaged in an Iranian drone attack at Khasab in Oman, have gone missing.
The missing persons have been identified as the ship’s captain, Ashish Kumar from Bihar, and Dileep Singh from Rajasthan. A search operation is under way to trace them. The attack on the vessel occurred around Sunday noon. It is reported that 15 Indians were on board the ship at the time. The strike took place while the tanker had been brought in for cleaning.
According to the latest information, three Indians were among those injured in the attack, but their condition is not serious. The vessel’s engine room and the crew accommodation area were gutted in the strike. An investigation into the incident is in progress.
