One of the largest venture capital organizations in the Silicon Valley, Emergent Ventures, has invested 2 million dollars in 'Insent.ai', a start- up run by a Keralite named Arjun Pillai based in Seattle.
Insent is a marketing platform that functions with the help of artificial intelligence. Insent helps to convert the leads that visit a website to sales in a short span. Insent is working in the Business to Business sector.
Arjun’s earlier venture, ‘Profoundis’ was taken over by a US-based company called ‘Full Contact’ in 2016. Following this, he continued working there till 2017. He started working on ‘Insent’ in 2019. He collected Rs 5 crores in the initial stage from those who had invested earlier at Profoundis.
Insent co-founder and CEO told Mathrubhumi that the company will use the fund they received to make their product more competent and to increase the sales. Arjun is a native of Thiruvalla in Kerala. Tamil Nadu native Prasanna Venkitesh in Insent’s co- founder along with Arjun Pillai.
He also stated that if needed the company will open a development centre in Kerala in the future. Out of the 40 employees of the organization, a lot of them are Keralites at the moment.
