Precious metal prices in India remained broadly unchanged on Monday, with both gold and silver witnessing marginal declines amid steady global market conditions.

According to the latest market data, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹15,168 per gram, down by ₹1 from the previous session. Similarly, 22-carat gold traded at ₹13,904 per gram, while 18-carat gold stood at ₹11,376 per gram, each registering a decline of ₹1 per gram.

Among major cities, Chennai continued to command the high gold prices. The yellow metal was quoted at ₹15,348 per gram for 24-carat purity and ₹14,069 per gram for 22-carat purity in the city. In contrast, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kerala and Pune recorded identical rates of ₹15,168 per gram for 24-carat gold and ₹13,904 per gram for 22-carat gold.

Delhi reported slightly higher prices, with 24-carat gold available at ₹15,183 per gram and 22-carat gold at ₹13,919 per gram. Ahmedabad and Vadodara also witnessed marginally elevated rates compared with several other metropolitan centres.

Silver prices edged lower as well. The metal was quoted at ₹259.90 per gram and ₹2,59,900 per kilogram nationwide, reflecting a decline of ₹0.10 per gram and ₹100 per kilogram. Chennai, Hyderabad and Kerala continued to trade at a premium, with silver priced at ₹2,69,900 per kilogram. Most other major cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bengaluru, reported silver rates of ₹2,59,900 per kilogram.

Market participants are expected to keep a close watch on international bullion trends and currency movements for further direction in precious metal prices.
