Gold prices in India rose on Friday (October 9), with rates of 18-carat, 22-carat and 24-carat gold increasing across major cities.
The price of 24-carat gold stood at Rs 15,071 per gram, up Rs 114 from Thursday's rate. The price of 22-carat gold increased by Rs 105 to Rs 13,815 per gram, while 18-carat gold rose by Rs 85 to Rs 11,303 per gram.
In Chennai, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 15,071 per gram, while 22-carat gold stood at Rs 13,815 and 18-carat gold at Rs 11,350 per gram. In Delhi, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 15,086 per gram, 22-carat gold at Rs 13,830 and 18-carat gold at Rs 11,318.
Mumbai and Kolkata recorded rates of Rs 15,071 per gram for 24-carat gold, Rs 13,815 for 22-carat gold and Rs 11,303 for 18-carat gold. Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune reported the same rates. In Ahmedabad and Vadodara, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 15,076 per gram, 22-carat gold at Rs 13,820 and 18-carat gold at Rs 11,308.
