Fuel prices across India showed largely stable trends today, with minor fluctuations in select cities. In Mumbai, the petrol price remains unchanged at ₹103.50 per litre, continuing a steady pattern seen over the last 10 days, during which prices have hovered narrowly between ₹103.50 and ₹103.54. Petrol prices in India are influenced by global crude oil rates, domestic taxation policies, and currency exchange movements, which together determine daily revisions.
Across major metro cities and state capitals, petrol prices mostly recorded no change. New Delhi stands at ₹94.77 per litre, while Kolkata is priced at ₹105.41. Chennai saw a marginal decline of ₹0.23, bringing the rate to ₹100.80. Jaipur recorded a notable increase of ₹0.51 to ₹104.99, while cities like Bangalore, Lucknow, and Bhubaneswar saw slight upward movements. In Kozhikode, petrol prices declined modestly to ₹105.94 per litre from ₹106.22 the previous day.
Diesel prices also remained largely stable nationwide. In Mumbai, diesel continues to be sold at ₹90.03 per litre, unchanged from yesterday and consistent for the past 12 months, with no revision since December 19, 2024. Other major cities, including New Delhi and Kolkata, reported steady prices at ₹87.67 and ₹92.02 respectively. Chennai saw a small reduction of ₹0.22, while Jaipur experienced a rise of ₹0.46. Kozhikode recorded a slight decrease in diesel prices, settling at ₹94.94 per litre compared to ₹95.20 earlier.
LPG prices, revised monthly by state-run oil companies, remained unchanged for domestic cylinders across cities. In Mumbai, the domestic LPG (14.2 kg) cylinder costs ₹852.50, while Kozhikode’s rate stands at ₹861.50. However, commercial LPG prices saw a uniform reduction of ₹10 to ₹10.50 across most cities, providing marginal relief to businesses.
