Thrissur: BSNL has announced the launch of the 4G network in four districts of Kerala. Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Kozhikode and Kannur are selected for 4G trial run.
With this, 6000 towers will get equipped with 4G technology developed by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) soon. Over one lakh BSNL towers will supply 4G services across the country.BSNL and TCS have signed an agreement for this purpose.
BSNL will purchase equipment worth Rs 547.02 cr for the launch of the 4G network in Kerala. Once this becomes a reality, BSNL customers will have access to better internet services.
