One official at each post office has been assigned special responsibility for SIM card distribution

Kozhikode: BSNL SIM cards will now be available at post offices. The distribution has currently begun at head post offices and will soon be expanded to all post offices.
Customers can purchase a SIM card for ₹51 by visiting a post office with their Aadhaar card and other documents. They must appear in person as the process involves photo verification of the beneficiary.
One official at each post office has been assigned special responsibility for SIM card distribution. Postal department officials expect each head post office to sell at least 100 SIM cards a month.
Kozhikode Postal Division Assistant Superintendent AN Sunilkumar said the decision was taken as part of efforts to expand the service networks of both the postal department and BSNL.
