Alappuzha: A youth was stabbed to death while attending a temple festival in Ambalappuzha. 

The deceased has been identified as Athul (25), a Punnapra native. The incident happened on Friday night. Thumboli native Sreekuttan, who stabbed Athul, is absconding.  

The brawl ensued following a folk song event organised as part of the temple function. Police suspect that Sreekuttan has taken revenge against Athul regarding a past event. 

Rahul, a friend of Athul, also suffered injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at Vandanam medical college.
