Kochi: A young man from Manipur became violent at the Tripunithura Taluk hospital. The incident happened on Tuesday night. Though police arrived, they were unable to subdue him. 

The man had to be sedated with the help of doctors and then shifted to the Kalamassery Medical college hospital. He was found unconscious on the Maradu road and taken to the Taluk hospital under the instructions of the Councillor.

When found on the road, the man reportedly had some head injuries. However, the man regained consciousness  after being brought to the hospital. This is when he became violent and tried to attack the staff and doctors.

The man was even able to untie his hands and feet that were fastened to subdue him and continued to create mayhem in the hospital for an hour and half. 

The police suspect that the man was under the influence of intoxicants. The youth is an employee at a shopping mall in Kochi. His co-workers reached the hospital after getting notified about the incident.
