Perambra: Mohammed Javad (20 years), a youngster from Perambra, was abducted by a five-member quotation gang in Ajman, and was brutally beaten up while being held as a captive. He was later thrown on the roadside by the gold smuggling gang, before he was found by the police and shifted to a hospital in Dubai. After his return to Kerala, the Peruvannamuzhi police registered a case in the incident.
Javad was taken into custody by the gang of malayalees over a missing ‘consignment’ of gold worth over Rs 65 lakhs. However, after realising that Javad had no role in the act, he was released. The youngster suffered severe torture at the hands of the miscreants.
Javad was flown to Kerala and had injuries all over his body and could barely walk. From his statement, it was learnt that he was subjected to brutal torture. The youngster who was beaten with a belt around his ear, is currently suffering from hearing loss. He sustained injuries on his head as well.
