Thiruvananthapuram: A young doctor pursuing postgraduate studies was found dead in her apartment here on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Shahana (27), residing in Puthur Naz Manzil, Venjaramoodu, and a student at the Department of Surgery at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College.
Shahana was found unconscious in her apartment at around 11:30 p.m. The police officials rushed her to the medical college hospital. However, she was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Police suspect that she had committed suicide. The officers allegedly discovered a suicide note after searching her room. The police have registered a case and initiated a probe.
