Wayanad: In response to devastating landslides in Kerala's Wayanad, the Indian Army has escalated rescue operations, successfully evacuating over 1,000 people to safety. By Wednesday morning, authorities had recovered around 70 bodies.

According to official reports, four teams from the DSC Centre in Kannur and the 122 TA Battalion, in collaboration with NDRF and state rescue teams, are conducting joint rescue efforts. An advance team from MEG & Centre arrived on Tuesday evening to assess the Meppadi-Chooralmala Road and determine bridge requirements in affected areas.
