Kasaragod educational institutions granted holiday on July 1 following orange alert for very heavy rain.

Kasaragod (Kerala): Following the India Meteorological Department's issuance of an Orange Alert forecasting isolated very heavy rainfall, a holiday has been declared for Wednesday, July 1 for all educational institutions, including professional colleges, in Kasaragod district.
The District Collector announced that the holiday is a precautionary measure in response to the warning of very heavy rain and the ongoing downpour in the region.
The holiday applies to all educational institutions, including colleges, professional colleges, schools, Anganwadis, tuition centres, ICSE and CBSE schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas and religious educational institutions like Madrasas.
However, the holiday is not applicable to residential schools. The Collector also clarified that there will be no change to previously scheduled university or public examinations and interviews.
