The death toll from the Valparai Tempo Traveller accident has reached 10 following the death of school bus driver Noushad, who was undergoing treatment in Coimbatore.

Malappuram (Kerala): One more person has succumbed to injuries sustained in the tragic accident where a Tempo Traveller overturned between Aliyar and Attakatti on the Valparai pass in Tamil Nadu. The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Noushad, who passed away while receiving treatment at the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital.
Noushad served as a bus driver at the Pang GLP School. With his passing, the total number of fatalities in the accident has risen to ten.

The accident occurred last Friday and involved a 13-member excursion group consisting of teachers and staff from the Pang Government LP School in Kuruva Panchayat, Valparai. On the day of the incident, nine people—including five teachers, school staff and a child—lost their lives.
The vehicle reportedly lost control at the 13th hairpin bend of the pass, located in the Anamalai Hills of the Western Ghats in Coimbatore district, and plunged into a deep gorge, landing near the 9th hairpin bend. The tragedy took place as the group was returning home via Pollachi after visiting Athirappilly and Valparai.
