Some cried aloud, while others sat exhausted and motionless.

Malappuram: The school courtyard became a place of final farewell as people gathered once more to see their loved ones who lost their lives in the Valparai road accident for the last time. The entire locality seemed to move together towards the venue, in large numbers, quietly and heavily.
Hundreds came forward to offer tearful tributes to those who died. The bodies have been kept for public viewing at Ambalaparambu Government High School.
Grief fills the school premises
The school grounds were filled with grief throughout the day. People broke down in tears, many unable to accept what had happened. Some cried out loud, while others sat in silence, too exhausted to speak or move.
Education Minister V. Sivankutty, IUML leader Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal and P.K. Kunhalikutty were among those who reached the school. Representatives from political parties and different sections of society also arrived to pay their respects.
Arrangements for the public viewing began late last night inside the school. Students came in their uniforms, standing quietly to say goodbye to their teachers for the last time.
The funeral ceremonies of deceased are expected to be completed by afternoon.
