Udma: A complaint has been lodged at the Bekal police station of a newly wed woman eloping with a friend with 125 sovereigns of gold.

The relatives filed a complaint against the woman who reached Poochakkad after marriage along with a Santhosh Nagar native from Kasaragod.

Police had obtained the CCTV visuals of the woman getting into her friend's car early morning. Police inspector UP Vipin said they had spotted the woman and her friend in Karnataka.
