Thiruvananthapuram: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan made it clear that LDF will accept the parties that come out of the UDF only on the basis of their political stand and ideology. The decision in this regard will be taken after a discussion in the LDF. Kodiyeri made it clear in the article written in party mouthpiece Deshabhimani that they intend to weaken UDF and BJP.

The CPM is hopefully seeing the stand taken by Jose K Mani faction of Kerala Congress in the no-confidence motion. Even after intense pressure imposed on them, Jose K Mani faction refused to vote against LDF. However, they have not made any public announcement regarding the entry to LDF. Meanwhile, CPI was strongly opposing to the idea of taking them into the LDF.

In this context, Kodiyeri stated that the LDF will consider accepting the parties based on their political stand. "Any decision regarding accepting new parties will be taken only after discussing within the LDF. We support all the moves that weaken UDF. However, neither CPM or LDF will be part of the internal chaos within the UDF," Kodiyeri made it clear.
