
Thiruvananthapuram: A two-year-old daughter of a nomadic couple in Pettah has been reported missing. The police are investigating the incident. The girl is the daughter of Bihar natives.
The incident happened on Monday around 1 AM. The couple who were living on the roadside along with their children woke up to find out that their daughter was missing. Locals rushed to the spot as the duo panicked and started crying aloud in agony. Following this, the incident was immediately reported at the police station.
As per the statements issued to the cops, the couple suspect two men who arrived on a two-wheeler to have abducted their daughter. They claim to have seen the vehicle speeding away from the spot as they woke up hearing sounds.
The couple has been living in Thiruvananthapuram for a long time now. They had migrated to the state capital from the city of Hyderabad a few years ago. They have four children, three boys and a girl. Their only daughter has been kidnapped now.
Police are continuing their efforts to find the child. They are currently inspecting all the available CCTV visuals.
The nomadic couple were identified as Amardeep and Rabeena and their missing child is named Mary.
