Thiruvananthapuram: Two people died after consuming food at a hotel in Vizhinjam, with food poisoning suspected as the cause. One other person is undergoing treatment.

The deceased have been identified as Shaji (42) from Chadayamangalam and his mother-in-law, Rashida Beevi (58). Shaji's wife, aged 39, is receiving care at Sajimol Parippally Hospital.
