
New Delhi: MLA K Babu filed an appeal in Supreme Court against the verdict of the Kerala High Court in the Tripunithura election case. Kerala High Court had ruled that the appeal filed by M Swaraj challenging the election victory of K Babu would remain valid.
Babu, in his appeal, requested the apex court to issue a stay on the High Court order. Advocate Romi Chacko filed Babu’s appeal in the Supreme Court.
M Swaraj has also filed a caveat in the Supreme Court, requesting his arguments should be heard before passing an interim order on the matter.
The case was filed against K Babu for allegedly using religious symbols to solicit votes.
