Kottayam: The Travancore Devaswom Board eased the Covid restrictions for temples. Devotees of all age groups can enter the temple from on. Abiding to Covid protocol, ‘Annadhanam’ (community lunch) can be held and the temple pond can be used. Also, permission has to be sought from the Devaswom Board prior to organising ‘Sapthaham’ (prayer for a week) and ‘Navaham’ (9-day prayer) on special days.

Special permission from the District Administration is required to organise stage programmes and elephant parades. Festivals can be conducted following Covid protocols and the distribution of offerings (prasadam) too is permitted.
