Thrissur woman who sought treatment for abdominal pain delivered baby in hospital toilet

Thrissur: A woman who sought treatment at the Chavakkad taluk hospital in Thrissur gave birth in the hospital's toilet on Wednesday. The woman came with her husband seeking treatment for abdominal pain. The doctor advised her to take a urine test for expert examination. She went to the toilet and gave birth there.

The woman and the baby were given the necessary first aid immediately. They were advised to go to the Thrissur Medical College for further tests, including whether the baby has an infection. However, the woman and her husband decided to go to another hospital in Chavakkad.

The woman says that she did not know that she was pregnant.
