Thirussur: A family was beaten up by believers of a Zionist church in Muriyad here for allegedly morphing and sharing pictures of the church's head priests.

A group of women belonging to the Emperor Emmauel church hit Muriyad native Shaji, wife Ashley, his wife Shajan Sharon and some other relatives.

Shaji and his family had quit the church recently.

More than 50 women blocked the car of Shaji and hit him and his family members, the complaint filed with Aloor police said. Police were already probing the complaint against Shaji for allegedly morphing the picture of the church head priests.

A video of the attack went viral on social media.
