Thiruvanananthapuram: Expressing shock over the reports from Manipur, Kerala chief minister Pinarayai Vijayan said that “those responsible for reinstating peace are actually perpetuating violence in Manipur.” He strongly condemned the union government for “being ignorant” about the turmoil in the northeastern state.
In a Facebook post, Pinarayi told people to be wary of Sangh Parivar’s “dangerous agenda which is a threat to the secular fabric of the country.” He accused the BJP of plotting conspiracies to aid religious polarisation in the state of Manipur.
“The visuals of the torture on Kuki women had shook the conscience of the nation, the acts was inhuman,” said Pinarayi in his Facebook post.
In the post, Pinarayi called out RSS for “fueling the tensions between the tribal ethnic communities of Kukis and Meiteis aiming at a genocide.”
“The onslaught can be dubbed as a calculated attack on the Christians,” he said.
“It is the moral responsibility of the citizens of the country to defeat the fascist forces,” he added.
