Thiruvananthapuram: In a good news, legal service can be availed through mobile phone from now on, that too for free. The TeleLaw app is a project launched jointly by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and Common Service Centres to provide free service of lawyers to all. The State-level inauguration will be done by Governor Arif Mohammed Khan on Thursday.
The complainants can register through Common Service Centres (CSC). The service of six empanelled lawyers will be made available through the app. Within 24 hours of registration, the advocates will contact the complainants.
CSC State Coordinator Jino Chacko said that this app will provide the public with clear guidance on laws and court procedures. The legal services offered through the app will be provided by experienced lawyers, many of whom have several years of practice even in the high court.
