A student`s plea to PM Modi for Aadhaar update gets a swift response, enabling her to apply for an education loan.

Kumbla: G Dhanushree from Naikap, Kumbla, faced the fear of losing her chance to apply for an education loan because she was unable to update her Aadhaar card. Determined to resolve the issue, she wrote a letter directly to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. To her surprise, within 20 days, she received her updated Aadhaar card by post. Now, she expresses her heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister and his office.
A bright student, Dhanushree had excelled in both SSLC and Plus Two examinations and is currently pursuing an engineering degree in Karnataka. Coming from a farming family, she required an education loan to continue her higher studies. However, her Aadhaar card, originally issued when she was just 5 years old, had not been updated, which prevented her from moving forward with the loan application.
Despite visiting several Akshaya centers in Kasaragod and Kumbla, she was unable to link her mobile number or update the Aadhaar card. Even participation in the Kasaragod adalat (public grievance redressal forum) brought no solution, leaving her disappointed.
At this point, she sought guidance from Gurumurthy, former headmaster of Perala GJBS School, Kumbla. He advised her to write a personal letter, in her own handwriting, to the Prime Minister. Though initially disheartened when no immediate reply arrived, her worries turned into relief on the 20th day, when her renewed Aadhaar card reached her by post.
