Aluva: The Central Investigation agencies and police are of the view that Dominic Martin, a Kochi native who claimed responsibility for the recent blasts at the prayer meeting of Jehovah's Witnesses in Kalamassery, could have conducted trials ahead of carrying out the explosion on Sunday.
As per reports, Martin, who had left his rented house in Thammanam around 5 am, reached Zamra International Convention Centre at 7.30 am. There is lack of clarity over his location in the hours ahead of arriving at the centre.
In the wake of this, police carried out an inspection at his own house in Athani, Kakkanad on Monday morning. The house is currently under police security and as per available reports, forensic officials will soon arrive here.
According to Martin’s wife, he did not carry anything while leaving home. Hence, it is suspected that the bomb was kept somewhere else. Police are also attempting to find out whether he had any accomplice.
As learnt from a neighbour, Martin was seen in the Athani house two days back. “He (Martin) said that he was there as part of some painting works,” the local resident told Mathrubhumi News.
