Suresh Gopi stated that he and Vijay have pledged to work in tandem to foster comprehensive development across the neighbouring states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu, as well as the nation as a whole.

Union Minister and veteran actor Suresh Gopi has revealed that the newly appointed Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, C Joseph Vijay, reached out to him telephonically following a high-profile meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In a social media post published alongside a photograph of Vijay and himself, Suresh Gopi stated that the discussion extended far beyond standard political pleasantries, focusing instead on collaborative efforts for national development.
"Following his meeting with the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi ji, my dear friend and Tamil Nadu's beloved hero, Joseph Vijay, called me on the phone," Suresh Gopi wrote on Facebook. "Beyond sharing pleasantries, we primarily spoke about how we can work together for the upliftment of the country and our people."
The Union Minister added that both leaders have pledged to work in tandem to foster comprehensive development across the neighbouring states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. He further extended his "heartfelt wishes" to Vijay for his tenure in public service.
First official Delhi visit
The telephone call followed a 20-minute bilateral meeting on Wednesday between Vijay and Prime Minister Modi at the Prime Minister’s Office in Seva Teerth, New Delhi. The targeted dialogue marked Vijay’s maiden official visit to the capital since assuming the office of Chief Minister.
