Alappuzha: Supplyco outlets in Kerala will roll out a range of special kits ahead of Onam, offering essential groceries and other products at discounted prices.
The Atham Kit, containing 21 items worth ₹1,280, will be available for ₹1,000. The kit will include essentials such as rice, coconut oil and sugar.

The Uthradam Kit, featuring 25 items worth ₹1,880, will be sold for ₹1,500. The Thiruvonam Kit, containing 30 items valued at ₹2,540, will be available for ₹2,000.
Supplyco will also offer a Signature Kit priced at ₹299, compared with its total product value of ₹374.50. The organisation has also introduced various gift schemes as part of its Onam promotions.
38,734 yellow ration cardholders to get free Onam kits
In Alappuzha district, 38,734 families holding yellow ration cards under the Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) scheme will receive free Onam kits. Each eligible family will receive one kit.
Residents of welfare institutions will also receive the kits, with one kit distributed for every four inmates.
The kit will contain 16 products, including a cloth bag, with the total value of the items estimated at ₹837.
Supplyco will prepare the kits and deliver them to ration shops for distribution. The process of packing the kits is set to begin on Monday. The kits will be delivered to ration shops between August 5 and 10. Beneficiaries can collect them from August 10 until August 25, the day of Uthradam.

The kit will contain:
Sugar – 1 kg
Coconut oil – 1 litre
Pigeon pea (Thuvara)– 250 g
Green gram (Cheru payar) – 250 g
Cowpea (Van payar)– 250 g
Chickpeas (Kadala)– 500 g
Milma ghee – 100 ml
Payasam mix – 40 g
Tea – 250 g
Payasam mix – 200 g
Sambar powder – 100 g
Chilli powder – 100 g
Turmeric powder – 100 g
Coriander powder – 100 g
Salt – 1 kg
The Onam kits are expected to provide households with essential grocery items while helping families prepare for the festive season at reduced prices.
