Thiruvananthapuram: Malayalam writer Subash Chandran won the literary award constituted in the memory of noted writer M Sukumaran. He bagged the award for his novel 'Samudrasila', published by Mathrubhumi Books. 

The award carries a purse of Rs 50,000 and a citation. The award ceremony will be held in Thiruvananathapuram by September end.
