Ernakulam: The passengers aboard the Vande Bharat Express in Kerala filed a complaint Tuesday after catering staff attempted to serve contaminated food on the train.
The incident happened when food packets meant for passengers aboard the Vande Bharat Express, traveling from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod, accidentally toppled and spilled onto the platform during delivery.
Some of the containers were opened, and the food inside spilt out. Despite the risk of contamination, the catering staff proceeded to refill the food containers with the spilt food and boarded them onto the train.
This was noticed by passengers, who immediately informed the train's crew and filed a complaint on the RailMadad portal. Following this, the train staff assured passengers that they would provide replacement meals to those who had booked food.
