Thiruvananthapuram: A complaint has been filed against SFI state secretary PM Arsho for allegedly barging into the office of the Principal Secretary of the Agriculture department and for threatening the officials present there. The incident is said to have happened at the office of Principal Secretary B Ashok, which is located in Annex 2 of the Secretariat building. The officials of the department have submitted a complaint to the chief security officer in connection with the alleged attack.
As per the complaint, Arsho and a fellow party worker barged into the office of the principal secretary disrupting an ongoing meeting. Prior to this, as per the information given by the officials at the secretariat, Arsho was clearly told that he would be only able to meet B Ashok by 5 PM, after the latter’s scheduled online meeting with the central agriculture secretary. However, an impatient Arsho allegedly barged into the office and created a ruckus before 5:00 PM.
Arsho and his fellow partymen are also accused of threatening officials present at the Principal Secretary’s office. In the end, security personnel including the chief security officer at the Secretariat had to arrive at the spot to pacify the situation.
However Arsho has denied the allegations. According to him, the purpose of his visit was to address the recurring problems at the Kerala Agricultural University (KAU). The Principal Secretary also serves as the Vice Chancellor of KAU. B Ashok had reportedly refused to meet the union representatives of the institution in earlier instances.
“Please verify the CCTV visuals at the office of the Principal Secretary to know the truth. I was informed by B Ashok’s staff that I would be able to meet him by 3 PM. However as the clock ticked three, the staff informed that the meeting was called off. Then I registered my protest by entering into the Principal Secretary’s cabin. However his scheduled online meeting with the central agriculture secretary had not begun by then,” claimed Arsho.
