
New Delhi: Senior journalist D Vijayamohan (65) passed away while undergoing treatment for COVID at St. Stephens Hospital here.
He was the senior coordinating editor of Malayala Manorama. Vijayamohan's family includes wife S Jayashree, son Advocate Vishnu and daughter- in- law Neenu.
A native of Thiruvananthapuram, Vijayamohan completed his higher studies from Mar Ivanios College. He joined Malayala Manorama in 1978. Vijayamohan went to England for his higher studies in Journalism through the fellowship of Commonwealth Press Union. He has been working in Delhi Bureau for more than 30 years.
Vijayamohan has written books including ‘Chendarkkazhal’, ‘Ee Lokam Athiloru Mukundan’ among others. He has received Kerala Lalithakala Academy award for ‘A Ramachandrante Varamozhikal’. He has also received Kerala Press Academy’s V Karunakaran Nambiar award and Kerala government’s award for Developmental Journalism.
