Semi-high-speed rail: Detailed project report to be submitted in March
Kannur: Survey number of the houses situated on either sides of the proposed semi-high-speed rail track is being collected in order to hand over the information about the owners to the revenue department. Kerala Rail Development Corporation (KRDCL) has entrusted an agency for digital version of this report.
KRDCL MD V Ajith Kumar said that the agency, Kerala State Remote Sensing and Environment Centre (KSERC), will submit the survey report by March. After land acquisition order, a detailed project report (DPR) will be prepared by the government. French consultation company Cistra has been entrusted with this responsibility.
The alignment of Thiruvananthapuram- Ernakulam section of Silver Line has been completed. The alignment was determined based on the aerial survey done by Hyderabad’s Giono company.
After submitting the survey number and alignment, the detailed project report will be submitted to the State and Central governments by March. The final approval regarding this will have to be issued by the Central government.
