Kozhikode: Samastha is planning to put more pressure to remove Abdul Hakeem Faizy as the general secretary of the Coordination of Islamic Colleges (CIC). During a Samastha Kerala Jem-iyyathul Ulama central mushawara meeting, the organisation decided that they will not cooperate with the CIC if Faizy continues in the post.
In November, Faizy was expelled from Samastha citing several reasons, including spreading false propaganda against the organisation. Faizy continuing in the post even after Samastha’s action against him is the reason for the organisation’s displeasure.
Even though Samastha has decided not to cooperate with CIC, it will cooperate with CIC president Panakkad Sayyid Sadik Ali Shihab Thangal. It has to be seen how the Panakkad family will handle Samastha’s pressure.
The meeting held in Kozhikode also decided to formulate a new curriculum and expand the education system at the national level. The curriculum will be implemented in selected centres from the next academic year.
