Former Sabarimala tantri Kandararu Rajeevaru, arrested in the Sabarimala gold theft case, will be shifted to Thiruvananthapuram General Hospital after reportedly falling unwell in custody.

Thiruvananthapuram: Former Sabarimala Tantri Kandararu Rajeevaru, who was arrested yesterday in connection with the Sabarimala gold theft case, is reportedly unwell and will be shifted to the Thiruvananthapuram General Hospital for treatment.
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) recorded his arrest after summoning him for questioning in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday.
Rajeevaru, who was lodged in the Thiruvananthapuram Special Sub Jail, reportedly experienced discomfort while in custody, following which the decision was taken to move him to the hospital.

Medical Officer Dr Vinu said, "He had a variation in his blood pressure levels, and we were treating him for that. He has stabilised now. He has pedal edema and for that, we have advised further consultation."
