Raids on Kerala's celebrity makeup artists: Rs 32 crore tax evasion uncovered

Thiruvananthapuram: The State Goods and Services Tax (GST) Department has uncovered tax evasion totaling Rs 32.51 crore during recent raids on the homes of Kerala's celebrity makeup artists.

Investigators found evidence of tax evasion across 50 locations, including the residences and institutions of 21 prominent makeup artists throughout the State.

The GST Intelligence team had been reportedly keeping an eye on these individuals for the past six months. The artists were found to have hidden income from their work with celebrities and weddings.
