Thiruvananthapuram: Revenue minister K Rajan on Saturday said that the missing persons in the Pettimudi landslide will be declared dead soon. It will be considered as civil death.

mathrubhumi.com and Mathrubhumi TV had reported on Friday about the undeclared deaths at Pettimudi due to the devastating landslide in 2020.

20 families are yet to get the compensation. Verification of the death of 16 is underway. It will be completed soon, the minister said. Houses will also be given for the needy, he added.

The Pettimudi landslide occurred on August 6, 2020.
