Alappuzha: The family of slain BJP leader Ranjith Sreenivasan has expressed satisfaction with the verdict of the Mavelikkara Additional Session Court to award death sentence to all accused in the case. 

Adv. Lisha, Ranjith’s widow, said though it was a huge loss for them they were deeply indebted to the court for handing the maximum punishment to the accused, which they understood was rare. She went on to say that the savagery of this murder case sets it apart from others. 

“It’s been 770 days since this crime took place, and after hearing the verdict, we feel our wait was worth it. Special thanks to the prosecution and the police team of DySP Jayaraj who investigated the case,” she said.
