
Kochi: The third edition of the Indian Fashion Fair (IFF) Expo concluded on a high note with actress Rajisha Vijayan being awarded the prestigious Fashion Icon of the Year title at the IFF Fashion Awards. The ceremony, held at the Adlux International Convention Centre, honored outstanding contributions to the fashion and business sectors, bringing together industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and creatives.
The event was inaugurated by Hibi Eden, Member of Parliament, who commended the IFF for staying ahead of industry trends and its efforts to support young entrepreneurs. He emphasized the vital role such events play in elevating Kerala's fashion scene, fostering innovation, and creating networking opportunities for the growing industry. His speech highlighted the significant impact of the fashion sector on Kerala's economy and culture.
Rajisha Vijayan, a well-known actress with a keen sense of style, expressed her gratitude for being named Fashion Icon of the Year. She shared her excitement about the future of Kerala’s fashion industry and emphasized the importance of supporting local designers. Her recognition was a testament to her influence in the fashion world, where she has become a prominent figure known for her impeccable style.
Actress Anjali Nair was also honored with the Excellence Award for her significant contributions to the fashion industry. The awards ceremony recognized several other individuals and organizations for their achievements, including Best Child Artist (Davinci Santhosh, Aavni Anjaly Nair), Businessman of the Year (E Ayoobkhan), and Fashion Entrepreneur of the Year (Navas MP-RK Wedding Mall). Other notable awards included the Legend of Garments Industry for the Mujeeb Family and Social Media Influencer of the Year for Iype Vallikkadan.
The Expo, which took place from January 7th, featured over 200 exhibition stalls and attracted more than 5,000 attendees. It served as a platform for industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and emerging talents to network, showcase their innovations, and explore new business opportunities. The event highlighted Kerala's growing importance in the fashion industry and provided a dynamic space for collaboration.
The Expo was supported by key figures such as Sadique PP (Chairman), Sameer Moopan (Convener), Shanir J (Vice Chairman), Shanavas PV (Joint Convener), and Shafeek PV (Program Director), who all shared their vision for the future of Kerala's fashion landscape.
