New Delhi: Former IAS officer Teeka Ram Meena, who served as the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) and worked in Kerala in several capacities, is now the joint convenor of the manifesto committee of the Congress party in Rajasthan.

The former additional chief secretary is hoping to utilise the administrative experience in Kerala to discharge his responsibilities towards the party. He is keen on prioritising women's empowerment and people’s planning measures while formulating the manifesto.

"I have a strong Congress tradition and I will contest (polls) if the party says so. The decision lies with KC Venugopal,’ Meena said. He added that if considered, then he is likely to contest from either Sawai Madhopur or Bamanwas constituencies.

Teeka Ram Meena hails from Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan and belongs to the scheduled tribe community.
