Kalpetta: Sona, daughter of Paul, the Pakkam native who was killed in yet another incident of wild jumbo attack in Wayanad on Friday stated that meeting Rahul Gandhi has boosted her morale. The young girl also expressed hope that the demands of the bereaving family will be eventually met.

Paul was a Vana Samrakshana Samithi (VSS--village-level body functioning under the Participatory Forest Management) staffer at Kuruva Island.

Soon after Rahul Gandhi left her house, Sona shared her experience of meeting the popular Congress leader with the media.

“It feels different when leaders come in person and assure us help. I hope Rahul Gandhi helps my family meet our demands. I feel my father would have been alive now had he been given timely medical attention. And for the same reason, I have asked Rahul Rahul Gandhi to work towards installing modern facilities at the Wayanad medical college,”  the young girl told the media.

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi is busy visiting the houses of recent wildlife attack victims in the region. He first met relatives of Ajeesh and then headed towards Pakkam. The leader is also expected to visit the house of Moodakolli Prajesh, who was killed in a tiger attack in December last year.
