It is understood that the Congress leadership in Kerala will imminently receive confirmation of Rahul Gandhi’s final decision. Sources indicate that no discussions on this matter have occurred in any of the workers’ committee meetings; rather, Rahul has purportedly made the decision independently.

While the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) eagerly awaits word from their esteemed leader, Rahul is set to soon visit Wayanad to express gratitude to the constituency's residents. The potential national Leader of the Opposition (LoP) is expected to disclose his future plans during this visit.

Rae Bareli has a longstanding connection with the Congress, serving as one of the party's key bastions throughout much of Indian political history.
